A new part of the building Stefanyka st., 11 became a place for Residence and art therapy — Lvivart.center.
The renovation will include: discovery and conservation of the end of the XIX century frescoes in an abandoned building of our house, electricity, water and heating, carpentry. We also plan to purchase technical equipment and carry out administrative and organizational work.
The space will operate next to Municipal Art Center тand will include:
• children’s studio of creative development;
• studio for creative practices;
• a workshop for temporarily displaced artists;;
• conversational space for conducting courses of psychological support, art therapy and rehabilitation of victims of war on the territory of Ukraine.

BECOME A PARTICIPANT IN TRAININGS AND PRACTICES OF RESTORATION WORKS:
Every day from 10:00 we look for Austrian and Polish drawings under layers of Soviet plaster and paints. Professional artists-restorers preserve them and turn them into part of a new space. In this way we show the longevity of history, respect to heritage and rejection of the Soviet narrative, which we encourage to cultivate in ourselves. The practice has a wonderful therapeutic effect, so we invite everyone to work together.

According to the Lviv Regional Military Administration, as of April 2022, our region received almost 287,000 people seeking refuge from the Russian attack in our region. In the situation of martial law, the Lviv Municipal Art Center reoriented its activities, becoming a coordination and information and volunteer hub for temporarily displaced persons. For now the most common requests are assistance in providing psychological support in groups, organisation of art therapy for both children and for young people, the need of workshops for young artists from all over Ukraine, the ability to use communicational, technically equipped workshops for public and art organisations temporarily working in Lviv. Therefore, our organisation sees as a separate task the provision of these needs and the support for people who remain in Ukraine and have chosen our city for temporary residence.
The multi-functional, technically equipped, volunteer and artistic space “Center.Lab” can provide with the needs mentioned above and the opportunity to work and create important social and cultural projects for the young Ukrainian community in the near future. The primary impact of the activity will be high-quality rehabilitation and psychological support and timely assistance to victims.
