Перша подія в рамках виставки “Вільна музика”: розмова з Крістофом Ґалесом, засновником вінілового лейблу Steelwork Maschine.
Лейбл Steelwork Maschine базується на заході Франції у місті Брест і спеціалізується на виданні індастріал-музики на фізичних носіях. Сам Кріс уже вдесяте приїжджає в Україну з гуманітарною допомогою військовослужбовцям, — і нарешті ми вирішили влаштувати публічну подію по прямому профілю Кріса.
У розмові з Оленою (aka buddhist bubblegum) Кріс розповість про особливості роботи вінілового лейблу в Європі, свій ростер, важливість низових ініціатив і мережевого спілкування, а також радо поділиться досвідом та порадами з українськими музикантами й музичними ентузіастами.

Лейбл Steelwork Maschine діє з 2003 року, видає гурти у жанрах Martial industrial, Neo-folk, Experimental та зокрема представляє гурт Death in June на нашому континенті. У 2024 лейбл надрукує альбом Паліндрома «Найліпші питання собі» та вже розповсюджує спільну 7″ Паліндрома та Ship Her Son.

Two recommended pressing plants that I’ve worked with are “Monotype Pressing” in Poland and “La Manufacture de Vinyles” in France.
They are both efficient, with fair prices and short delays of pressing (about 2 monthes at best)

Monotype also does 10″ and 7″ vinyl besides the usual 12″, but also cassettes and CDs.
LMDV only does 12″ vinyls at the moment.
They’re both used to work with small independent labels, and are usually working on short pressings (usually 300 to 500 copies)

Which references a lot of other pressing factories, but also equipment suppliers and dubplate cutting (for very short editions of vinyls, like 5 to 50 copies, but it’s quite expensive)
